. DRNEWAYS, SIDEWALKS,.AND GUTTERS, AND THE RE-
' MOVAI, OF EXISTING DRIVEWAYS AND TREES, INCLUDING
ALL INCIDENTAL AND.APPURTENANT.WORK.
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PROP,OSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT.
WHEREAS,' the City Council of the City of�Lynwood d3d on
the 16th day of November, 1954 adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
2572 ordering the improvement of Alma Ayenue between Long Beach Boule-
- vard and California�Avenue by the construction of curbs,'driveways,
sidewalks, and gutters, and the removal of existing driveways and
trees, including all incidental and appurtenant work, and �
, WHEREAS,,Tuesday, the 21st day of December „ 1954, at the
hour�of 8:00 p,m, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said
City of Lynwood was the time and;:place set in said Resolution of
. Intention�wh'en and where any objections to the proposed work•or im-
` provement, or to the extent of the district to be assessed, or to
the grades to which the work was proposed to be done, would be heard
by said City Council; and
WHEREAS, the.City Clerk of said City has heretofore pre-
sented and filed.an affidavit,of publication of said Resolution of
Intention, showing that the,same was published accordin$ to law; and
�,� Wf�REAS, said City Clerk•has also presented and filed his
affidavit•of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
, Intention in the time, form, arid manner, and to the persons; all as
provided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has.
heretofore presented.and filed an affidavit showing that notices of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said Act; and •

WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 21st day of December,
1954 no protests were filed against any of the things proposed to ,
be done under Resolution of Intention No. 2572,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood that the said City Council has acquired full
jurisdiction to order the proposed work or improvement;
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 19 4,.
