IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF
ALMA AVENUE BETWEEN LONG BEACH BOULEVARD AND
CALIFORNIA AVENUE BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS,
DRIVEWAYS, SIDEWALKS, AND GUTTERS, AND THE RE-
MOVAL OF EXISTING DRIVEWAYS AND TREES, IN-
CLUDING ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK.
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS. I
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows: .
Section 1: In the opinion of said City Council the public
interest and convenience require, and said City Council having acquired
,jurisdiction so to do, the following work or improvement is hereby
ordered to be done, to-wit:
The removal of certain existing improvements including
parkways, trees, driveways, curbs, and sidewalks and the construction
of cement concrete curbs, cement concrete driveways and sidewalks, and
cement concrete gutters, including all incidental and appurtenant work�
in certain portions of Alma Avenue lying between the center line of �
Long Beach Boulevard and the center line of California Avenue, including
portions of intersectin� streets, as more particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 2572,
Section 2: All of the work,or improvement aforesaid shall
be done as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 2572 of the
�City Council of said City, and to Plan No 195�+-J-3 to which reference
is hereby made for further particulars.
Sectiori 3: Said proposed work or improvement, in the opinion
of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit
and said City Council hereby determines and declares that the district
to be benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to pay
the entire costs and expenses thereof is particularly described in
tc
esolution of Intention No. 2572. Reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1954-J-4 for further particulars
as to the extent of the assessment district.

Section 4: The proceedings for the aforesaid work and
improvement shall be had and taken under an Act of the Le�islature of
the State of California desi�nated as the Streets and Highways Code,
Division 7, and cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments
thereto.
Section 5: The City Council hereby determines and declares
that serial bonds shall be issued in the form and manner provided in
said aforementioned Act, bearing interest at the rate of six (6) per
centum per annum to represent each assessment of twenty-five ($25,00)
dollars or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of
warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine
years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October
15th following their date. Said bonds and interest thereon shall be
paid at the office of the City Treasurer of said City and shall be
disbursed by him, all as provided in said Act.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall post and cause to be
published a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the
