CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2007 — 01
RECOGNIZING BRUCE D. WORKMAN FOR SIXTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Bruce D. Workman today completes sixteen years of faithful
service to the City of Medina; and
WHEREAS, he has served as a member of the Planning Commission from 1990
through 2000, City Council Member from 2001 through 2004, and as Mayor during 2005 and
2006; and
WHEREAS, throughout Mayor Workman's service to the City of Medina several
significant projects have taken place including:
The City's 2000 Comprehensive Plan;
The Uptown Hamel Redevelopment District;
Construction of the Hamel Community Building;
Construction of the Target anchored commercial facility;
Construction of a water treatment plant; and
Substantial improvements to Medina City Hall; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Workman has overseen prudent financial management of the
City resulting in the City's tax rate declining during his years as Mayor;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges and thanks Mayor Workman for his years of service to the community; and
FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City will reflect for years his impact on
significant planning and projects for and in the City.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Smith
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Cavanaugh, Smith, Weir, and Johnson
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
