� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
� LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, G NING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
� ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
} COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING WESTERLY OF THE LOS
I ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL.
i WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-

� tory Act of 1939 the City Council desires to annex that certain
property lying westerly of the Los Angeles County Flood Control
Channel in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and I
lying within the following described lines: �
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 5
of Slausson Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 3,
page 348, of.Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
, County, California, d.istant thereon 593,58 feet
easterly of the easterly line of Wright Road, 33
feet wide as shown on map filed in Book 43, page 44
of Record of Surveys in the office of the Recorder
of said county, said point being on the boundary
'line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary line
existed January 7, 1955 thence easterly along said
boundary line and followin� the same in all its
various courses to its interaection with a line
bearing South 67 East and. having a length of
53z.1g feet as shown on said last mentioned map;
thence South 67 ° 37�36 " East 17,26 feet; thence South
17 West 146.04-feet; thence South 72 East
145.62 feet; thence South 17 West 13g.37 feet;
' thence South 13 °29�2g " West to the point of beginning,
' WHEREAS, these proceedings are initiated by the City Council
of the City of Lynwood; such annexation is in the public interest and
the owners of the property have expressed an interest and desire to
become part of the City of Lynwood, and by the completion of said
annexation the City of Lynwood will be able to begin a program of
street improvement, and that areas adjacent to this proposed annexation
are now part of the City of Lynwood and therefore vaill be mutually
ad.vantageous to both the City and property owners in that general area.
. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: That pursuant to the "Annexation o,f Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1g39 the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
givea notice of said proposed annexation.

Section 2: Said Territory is hereby designated for
identification as "Wright Road Annexation No. 8,"
Section 3: Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fixes the 15th day of March 1955 in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour,
and place when and where any person owning real property within such
territory so proposed to be annexed and havin� any ob,jections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the City Council of said City
of Lynwood and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. I
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a I
copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two successive
weeks prior to said hearing in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in said City of Lynwaod,
and also in the Herald-American, a newspaper of general circulation
published outsid.e of the City of Lynwood but in the County in which
is located. the territory proposed. to be annexed,
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this lst day o Febr ry, 1955.
