RESOLUTION N0. 2591
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS, AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS
THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD. ,
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California
did on the lst day o£ February 1955 adopted Resolution No. 2586
relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on certain parcels
of land in the City of Lynwood, and .
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weeds by posting
"Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objections to said matter, a hearing�was duly held and no
written or oral ob,jections were made, either in writing or'orally, to
the doing of said work,and .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has con-
sidered all of the facts and is fully informed in the matter; that
they have acquired ,jurisdiction to proceed and. perform the work of
removal of said nuisances,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood be and he is hereby instructed to abate
the nuisances described in said Resolution No. 2586 by having said
nuisance referred to removed, and he and his assistants are hereby
expressly a,uthorized. £o enter upon private property for that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall have
the right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at his own
expense, provided such work is done prior to the time the work is done
by the Superintendent of Streets. If the work is done by the property
� owner, no charge shall be made by the City of L nwood.
