l9IiEStEAS, the State of California under Chapter 20, Statntea o£ 1946
(=irst Extra Session), as amended, has approuriated funds for allotment to nrovide
£or £inancial assistance to Local t�,encies, de£ined therein as counties, cities
a.nd'Countiea, or cities, so tHat they may engage in a, la.rge nublic c��orks constrvc—
tion pro�ram in order to prevent and alleviate unevnployment; and
, VlHEREAS, the aforesaid Act in Section 2� anthorizea a Local ��ency
to assign the £unds allocated to it thereunder, or aa�,v portion thereof, to zr�v other
Local Agency or to anv uovernmenta..l unii or district in this State; and
V1?iEFF;AS, the Cit;� of L,vr.�vood desires to make an assi�nment to
City of Idonrovia,'and has Yiad allocated to it by said Act an axnount which contains
a suff�cient b».lence to per�it tne assignment therefron of the cv.m he*einafter
mentioned:
