V7HEREAS, the City Council of tne City of Lynwood did, on �
the 17th day o° FeU'ruary, 1953 approve an inveatigation report unc3er
the Urovisione oi Diviaion 4 0£ the Streets and Highwa�*s Code, cited
a.s "Special Asaessment Investigation, Limitation and.DSa,Jority Proteat
Act o� 1�31'� as amerzded, upon the nroposed. improvement of Long Beach
Boulevard �rom Lynwood Road to Josephine Street by the construction
of an ornamental street lighting s,ystem, including all incidental a.nd
appurtenant worl:, all as shown on Plan No. 1�53-A-2 in the office of
the City Clerk of said City; and I
i9HEREAS, said 'report having been du�y prepared and Piled,
a hearing t•ras held b,y sa;d. City Council on t'r!e 7tn dag of Ap'ril, 1953
in the nanne'r provided in said Act above referred to; and
tivHEREAS, more thar. thirty days nave expired since the date
oi mailing notices of hearing on said ieport;
IQOW, THEREFORE, tne Cit,y Council of �ne City o? Lynwood
floea hereby resolve as follows:
1. Tnat the p•rotests made at said hearing on said investi-
ga.tion report be and the aa.me are hereby overruled;
2. That the public intere��, convenience, and neceseity .
require the doing and making of the public improvement �et forth and
d.escribed in said re�oort above rePerred to and subatantially in tne
manner s.et forth;
3. That the project conaisting of the propoaed inprovement
a.bove referred to ie feaeible and tha.t the lands to be,as3esced will
be able to carry the burden of said proposed asaessment, and. tne
limitations on the a.mounte of aeaessments provid.ed for in thi� part
ma,y be diaregardea, both with respect to the limltations on the dis-

t'rict as a whole and aa to the limltation on .individual speci£ic
assessmenta.
�. Th�t estimated tota7_ anaount proposed to be �saessed
upon any or all lots or parce7_s of land for the coat� and exbensee of
said proposed inprovenent does not exceed the limitatior. oi .indebted-
ness established and set forth in said Act above referred to and wi11

5• That no written protests were filed with the clerk of
the legialative body o,y the ownere of a ma�ority of the frontage of
the pro�erty fronting on s�id proposed improirement.
6. That it ie nereby ordered tnat the proceedinge for tne
making of said proposed imnrovement be undertaken pursuant to the nro-
visiona of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Caliiornia, aeaig-
nated as Division 7 of tile Streete and Hi�hwa,ys Code, cited as the
"Irrn�rovement Act of 1911, and amendmenta thereto".
