T^1HEREAS, Aurauant to the provisiona of Division 4 of the � Streets and_ Highwaya Code, cited as the '�Special Aasessment Inveati�;a- tion Limitation and Majority Proteat Act of 1931", as amended, the City Couneil of the City of Lynwood has determined that the improve- ment of Portions of Pendleton Avenue as roropoaed_ in Resolution No. 2488 of said City is feaeible, and that the public interest, conven- ience, and necesaity require tne improvement substantially as set forth in said report, and WHEREAB, said City Council hae found that the lands to be assessed will be able to atand the burden.of the propoaed assessment, NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as Yollowa: Section l: That in the opinion oP the Cit,y Council of the Cit,y oP Lynwood the public interest and convenience require and it ia the intention of said City Council to order the following �ork or improvement to be done, to-wit: The construction of cement concrete curbs, cement concrete guttera, together �rith incidental and appurtenant work, in certain portions of the following street, includ.ing portions of interaecting streets: PLNDL�TON AVENUE from the center line oY Colyer Avenue to the center line of Elm Avenue, as said Elm Avenue exists nor therly oP Pendleton Avenue. Al1 of eaid work or improvement shall be performed in the public ways and between the limits hereinbefore designated except where the plans indicate that said work shall be omitted, That all of the work o imnrovement aforesaid shall be done and performed in accordance with and to the gradea ahown on Plans and Specifications'ATO. , 1953-B-3 on file in the oPflce of tlie City Clerk of -1- ., , . � said City. Said plans are hereby referred to for a fu11 and complete description of said proposed work and for the gradee to which the work is to be done and said plans and_ specificatione are by reference made a part hereof and shall govern for all details of the propoaed work. That the total estimated cost oY aaid work or improvement is the sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-seven and No/100tha Dollars ($$3 ,657.00) . Section 2: That said contemplated work or improvement, in the opinion of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benePit, and said City Council hereb,y determines and declares that the district to be benefited. by said work or improvement, and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenaes of auch vrork or improvement, is shown on Plan No. 1953-B-4� on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which rePerence is hereby made for a full and complete deacription oY the asaessment district. Section 3: The City Council hereby determines and declares that serial bonda shall be issued in the manner a.nd Porm provided in Diviaion � of the Streeta and Highwa,ye Code cited as the ��Improvement Act of 1911�', as anended, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6�) per annum to repreaent each assessment of Twenty-five Dollara ��25-00) or over, remaining unpaid for tnirty days after the date of recordation of the warrant; saia eerial bonde eha17. extend over a period ending nine years from the second day oY January next av.cceeding the next October fifteenth following their date. Section 9: The.City Clerk shall certify to the paesa�e of this Reaolv.tion by the City Council of said City of Lynwood and cauae the same to be published twice in the L,ynwood Preae, a weekly newspaper publiehed and circulated in said City and hereby deaignated by said City Council for the purposes aforesaid.
