MINUTES OF THE TO±N C=AISSION, January 2bd, 1934.
A regular meeting of the Pown Commission of the Town
of Gulf Stream, Florida, was held on the 2nd, day of January
A. D. 1934.
Commissioners Hose, Adams and DeRarlier were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and adopted.
The rate of 'Taxation for the year of 1933 came up for
discussion.
Tax Collector De.Parlier stated that the 'Town had a bank
balance of .';430.25 and that if the Town did not employ a
Policeman for the winter season, the expenses for the Town for
the year of 1934 should not exceed ',100.00.-
After some discussion Commissioner idams made a motion
that the Town assess 2 mills per hundred dollars based on State
and County valuation of property in the Town. This motion was
passed and Tax Collector DeFarlier was ordered to prepare the
1933 'Tax Roll.
Mayor Leroy K. Hose stated that for business reasons he
was moving from the Town and tendered his resignation as Mayor.
Commissioner Delarlier moved that the Mayor's resignation
be aceppted with regret and the motion was seconded and carried.
Vice - Mayor Adams will act as Mayor until next regular election.
There being no further business to come before the
Commission the meeting was regularly adjourned.
