LONG BEACH BOULEVARD r'ROM LYNWOOD ROAD TO
JOSEPHINE STREET IN THE CITY OF LYN�^�OOD BY �PHE
CONSTRUCTION OF AN ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTING
SYSTEM AND APPURTENANT WORK.

THAT THE CITY COUNCIL F,AH ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE ?ROPOSED '�VORK OR IP��ROVEhiENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Cit,y of Lynwood did, on
the 7th day of April, 1953 a.dopt its Resolution o� Intention No.
2495 ordering the improvement of Long Beach Boulevard from Lynwood
�coad to Joaepnine Street by the construction of an ornamental street
lighting syetem, together with incidental and appurtenant work, and
L•1HEREAS, the City Clerk of said Cit,y ha.s heretoPore pre-
aented and filed an aifidavit of publication of said Resolution of
Intention shoti��ing that the same was publiahed according� to law; and
WH�iEAS, eaid City C1erY has also preaented and filed his
affidavit of mailing noticea oP the adoption of said Reaolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the persona, all as
provided by an Act oP the Legislature o£ the State of California,
deflignated as Division '7 of the Streete and Highwa,ys Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto, and
t�7HEREAS, tne Citv Engineer-5uperintendpntof Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an af£idavit showing that notices of ,
the paseage of said Resolution oP Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said_ Act; and
t�E_REAS, Tuesda,y, the 5th day oP May 1953 at the hour of
8 o�clock p.m. at the Council Cha.mbers in the Cit,y Hall, in eaid City
01' Lynwood, Ura.s the time and place set in said Resolution of Intention
when and where any ob,�ectiona to the proposed worx or improvement, or
to the egtent of the district to be assessed, or to the grades to which
the work was proposed to be done, oaould be hearc� b,y said City Council,

NOi^7, THr._REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Cit,y of LynHrood that the said. City Council has acquired Pull �uris-
diction to order the propoaed work or i�provement.
