HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-05-2015r ,r THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MARCH 5, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 5, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen City Clerk; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; Street Superintendent Tracy Bosell; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the February 26, 2015 minutes, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foster moved to approve the Claims for Payment with a check date of March 6, 2015 in the amount of Two Hundred Thirty Four Hundred Thirty Four Dollars and fifty cents ($230,434.50), supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS • HANDICAP PARKING SIGN RENEWAL 200 South 6th Street Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • STOP SIGN INSTALLATION Two stop signs on Breckenridge Drive at the intersection of Barrington Ridge and Breckenridge Drive Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • TIME LIMITED PARKING Reid Hospital — two 30- minute parking spaces First block of North 6th Street to accommodate customer traffic Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried BID OPENINGS BID AWARDS • GARAGE DOOR SERVICE AND REPAIR — STREET DEPARTMENT Recommendation — Overhead Door of Richmond Not to exceed $2,500.00 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Board of Works "notes March 5, 2015 Page 2 of 2 CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 30-2015 — WETZEL FLEET AND COMMERCIAL SALES (Fire Department) 2015 Chevy Suburban — Command Vehicle Not to exceed $41,747.50 Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried CHANGE ORDERS ADDENDUMS RESOLUTIONS PETITIONS MISCELLANEOUS • APPROVAL OF PROBATIONARY POLICE OFFICERS Sergio Cruz Santiago Tyler Smith Bradlee Sturgeon Tabled until further notice. ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
