HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-26-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MARCH 26, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5'" Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Dick Foore. Absent was Tony Foster. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns Deputy City Clerk; Gerald South, Assistant Engineer for the Richmond Sanitary District; Tracy Bosell, Street Commissioner; Jeff Norris, Director of Information Technology; Tim Brown, Assistant Fire Chief; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the March 19, 2015 minutes, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT None REQUESTS • ROAD CLOSURE 125 Garwood Road to approximately 200 feet South of the South "A" Street intersection Replacement of the Storm Sewer Pipe March 31 — April 3, 2015 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS None BID AWARDS • GUARDRAIL INSTALLATION PROJECT (1005 South "Q" Street) James H. Drew Corporation Not to exceed $8,680.25 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • NORTH 19TH STREET CURB PROJECT Prol-aw Care Not to exceed $5,500.00 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Board of Works Minutes March 26, 2015 CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 13 -2015 —AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN TOWING ROTATION Starting April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 37-2015 — RICOH Copier Maintenance for the Street Department Not to exceed $96.00 /month Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS None ADDENDUMS None RESOLUTIONS • RESOLUTION NO. 2-2015 —A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF SOUTH "Q" STREET AND /OR THE PARCELS MAKING UP SUCH ROADWAY (Grantors — Kenneth and Elizabeth Bailey) Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • RESOLUTION NO. 3 -2015 — A RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN RICHMOND, INDIANA TO RICHMOND RESTORATION, INC. (36 South 19th Street) Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • RESOLUTION NO. 4 -2015 — A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO LISTING CONTRACT FOR LEASE OF REAL ESTATE (1501 NW 5th Street —Veterans Administration) Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • RESOLUTION NO. 5-2015 — A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR LEGAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH MANOR DRIVE PROJECT Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
