HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-14-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 14, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, May 14, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 50, Street, Richmond, Indiana. Vice President Foster called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Absent was Vicki Robinson. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen City Clerk; Police Chief Mark Connery; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; Abby Foster; Glee Ann Winters; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the May 7, 2015 minutes, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foore moved to approve the Claims for Payment dated May 8, 2015 in the amount of Seventy Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and twenty nine cents ($70,825.29), supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURES: VINTAGE WHEELS — OUTDOOR CAR SHOW Fort Wayne Avenue — North "D" — "E" Street North "E" Street from 811' —10', Street Area under the 10th Street Bridge June 13, 2015 —12 Noon —10 PM Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 50-2015 — RICOH USA —Police Department Copier Furnish and Install new copier and Maintenance coverage Not to exceed $6,099.00 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 62-2015 — THOMPSON REUTERS — Police Department Investigative Software Not to exceed $573.35 /month Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carved. Mr. Foore moved to authorize Chief Connery to execute this contract, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bosid of Works Minutes April 23, 2015 • CONTRACT NO. 63-2016 —ANIMAL CARE ALLIANCE COMPANY— Police Department Animal complaint calls during 2nd shift hours and during weekends and be permitted to utilize the animal control truck to respond to any animal complaint issues Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 66-2015 — PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL — Fire Department Provide services in connection with the 2015 firefighter application and hiring process Not to exceed $1,350.00 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS - None ADDENDUMS - None RESOLUTIONS - None PETITIONS - None MISCELLANEOUS - None ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
