HomeMy Public PortalAbout03/07/1934TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA MINUTES OF THE TOWN COMMISSION, MARCH ITH, 1934 A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida was held on March 7th, 1934. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The inspector and the clerk who served as an election board for the general election held on March 6th, 1934, filed their report with the Town Commission which was as follows, Number of persons registered 23 Number of persons voting 11 Number of votes cast for M.L.DeParlier for mayor ---- - - -11. Number of votes cast for H.E.Adams for vice mayor --- - - -11. Number of votes cast for Dorothy Adams for Town Clerk - - -11. We the Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, acting as a Board of Canvassers for the purpose of examining the returns of the election held in the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, March 6th, 1934, do hereby certify that an examination of the certificate of the clerk and one inspector of the general municipal election held March 6th, 1934 shows the above results. We further certify that from the above returns the following persons have been elected to the offices respectively shown opposite their names. A motion was made and carried, accepting the above report and declaring the results of the election to be as follows. M. L. DeParlier elected to the office of Mayor. H. E. Adams elected to the office of Vice Mayor. Dorothy Adams elected to the office of Town Clerk. H. E. Adams administered the oath of office to M. L. DeParlier who administered same to H. E. Adams and Dorothy Adams. M. L. DeParlier turned over the books, papers, tax rolls etc. of the Town of Gulf Stream to the Town Commission. There being no further business to come before the Commission the meeting was regularly adjoubned. Mayor Town Clerk
