HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-04-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 4, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, June 4, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5t" Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen City Clerk; Sharon Palmer, Grants Administrator; Dr. Paul Kries; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the May 28, 2015 minutes, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foster moved to approve the June 5, 2015 Claims for payment in the amount of Three Hundred Eight Thousand Two Hundred Forty Seven Dollars and Eighty Cents ($308,247.80), supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURE Deloney Family Block Party Alley on North "G" Street and North 11th Street June 13, 2015 -9 pm —12 am Deloney Family Campout Alley on North "G" Street and North 11 th Street July 4, 2015 -10 am -12 am Mr. Foore moved to approve June 13 and July 4 street closures, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Christ United — 7th Back to School Bash Streets surrounding the South 10th Street Park — South 10th Street, South "C" and South "B" Streets, Park Place July 25, 2015 — 7 am — 2:30 pm Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • HANDICAP PARKING SIGN RENEWAL 220 North 4th Street 721 South 7th Street 426 Lincoln Street Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carved. BID OPENINGS • ADMINISTRATION OF THE OWNER OCCUPIED REHABILITATION GRANT Starr Development responded to the Request for a Quote. This was referred to the Department of Metropolitan Development for due diligence. BID AWARDS - None CONTRACTS CONTRACT NO. 68-2016 — H.J. UMBAUGH — ACCOUNTING SERVICES ➢ Reconciliation of accounts Not to exceed $2,600.00 /month — 20 hours per month. Hours not worked in a month will be rolled over to the next month. All fees will be paid accordingly after the last month. ➢ 2016 Budget Preparation Not to exceed $10,000.00 Mr. Foster moved to approve contingent upon approval of a budget transfer by Common Council, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
