HomeMy Public PortalAbout11/07/1934TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA MINUTES OF TOU COMMISSICN, NOVEMBER 7, 1934 A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, was held at the Town Hall of said Town on the 7th day of November, A. D. 1934. Commissioners DeParlier, Adams and Adams acre present. Minutes of the previous meeting wcre read and approved. It was called to the attention of the Town Commission that the 1934 Taxes for the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida were now due. Tax Assessor Adams presented to the Commission the 1934 Tax Roll for its consideration. The Tax Roll was carefully examined and appr©ved. A motion was made, seconded, and passed accepting the roll as presented as the 1934 Tax Roll of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida. Town Clerk Adams was instructed to prepare in compliance with Section 7, Article 8, of the Charter Act of the Town of Gulf Stream, a suitable notice and post sane at the door of the Town Hall, stating that the Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, would sit as a board of equalizers to hear any complaints regarding taxes or assessments as shown in the 1934 tax roll. It was brought to the attention of the Town Coi,nission of the fire hazard along the main boulevard of the Town caused by pine needles droping from the trees and piling up on the road. A motion was lade that two laborers be hired to cut the dead branches from the trees and clean and take away all pine needles from beneath the trees. These laborers are to be paid by check, weekly until the work was furnished. This motion after being fully e discussed by the Town Commission was seconded and passed. Yayor UeParlier authorized Town Clerk Adams to pay said laborers weekly until work was finished. There being no further business to come before the Town Commission, the meeting was regularly adjourned. Mayor Tonw Clerk
