CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2007-30
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING FORMER MAYOR ANNE
THEIS FOR DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA
WHEREAS, Anne Theis died Friday, May 18, 2007 after 56 years of residency
in Medina and public service in the City at many levels; including
• Village Clerk
• West Hennepin Joint Planning Commission Representative
• Planning Commission Member
• City Council Member
• Mayor (1993-1996)
• Recipient of the Commitment to Community Award in
1998; and
WHEREAS, Anne Theis will be remembered as a City leader who led the City in
dealing with contentious issues in a civil and productive way; and
WHEREAS, the leadership style of Anne Theis has left a legacy in the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Medina
recognize and memorialize the leadership of Anne Theis in the City of Medina and her
efforts to lay the foundation for many of the fine qualities which exist in the City today.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Johnson upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Weir, and Johnson
And the following voted against same: (Absent: Smith and Cavanaugh)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
