A city council committee to consider financial policy issues facing the city and make recommendations.
Comprised of 3 council members, appointed by Mayor, city manager and audit committee representative to meet once a
month.
Duties may include:
• monitor the budget and financial activities through periodic review and discussion of monthly and annual reports.
• monitor financial policies are in keeping with the city's charter
• analyze trends in income sources
• monitor changes in types and reliability of income
• review new GASB and other authoritative stands and oversee implementation
• assist with development of financial policies and make recommendations to city council
• monitor the city's debt and debt capacity and assist with issues relating to issuance of new debt
• assist with the development of rate structures and fee schedules for city services
