THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 10, 2010
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday
November 10, 2010, in the Community Room at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond,
Indiana. In attendance were Board Members Vicki Robinson and Mary Jo Flood. Absent was Dian
Lawson. Also attending were Bill Harris, Human Resources; Greg Steins, Department of Public Works
and Safety; Sgt. Brian Irvine, Traffic Division of the Richmond Police Department, Kim Vessels, Assistant
City Attorney and Terri Quinter, Manager of Roseview Transit.
The following business was conducted:
CALL TO ORDER:
Board President Vicki Robinson called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board
members and legal counsel were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Ms. Flood moved to approve the minutes of November 4, 2010 as presented, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT:
Ms. Flood moved to approve Claims for Payment in the amount of $240,590.92, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
CURB CUTS
A. 3804 SANDBRIDGE DRIVE: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented, supported by Ms. Robinson.
Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
B. 2830 WESTMINSTER AVENUE: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
CONTRACTS
A. ADDENDUM NO 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 152 -2008: Ms. Flood moved to approve as
presented, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
B. CONTRACT NO. 160 -2010: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
C. CONTRACT NO. 161 -2010: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
D. LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT NO 2: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented,
supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
REQUESTS
A. DEPOT DISTRICT REQUESTED USE OF CITY STREETS FOR CARRIAGE RIDES
DURING THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY FESTIVAL: Ms. Flood moved to approve
as presented, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
B. REQUEST TO PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF CARPET FROM INDIANA DISCOUNT
CARPET COMPANY: Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented, supported by Ms.
Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
BID AWARDS
A. Award the bid to Meyers Mechanical for the installation of two tankless water heaters at
Roseview Transit Vehicle Wash Building. Ms. Flood moved to approve as presented,
supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned.
