SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS -
MEETING OF MAY 10, 2017
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and fi le the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission (Commission ) actions from their regular meeting of May 10 , 2017 .
BACKGROUND:
On May 10 , 2017 , the Comm ission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the May 10 , 2017 , meeting :
1. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioner-Clift , Redmond , Chairman Nimri
Absent: Commissioner-None
Excused : Commiss ioner-Stratis , Blatt
2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes of their April12 , 2017 , meeting .

3. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS
The Comm issio n held nine hearings in person . Eight citations were upheld and one
citation was dis mi ssed .
Th e Commiss io n held four hearings by written declaration . Three citatio ns were
upheld and one citation was dismissed .
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reporting the T ranspo rtat ion an d Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the City 's
Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication .
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not hav e an impact on the Fiscal Year 201 6-17 City Budget.
