THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, OCTOBER 7, 2010
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M.,
Thursday, October 7 2010, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th
Street, Richmond, Indiana. In attendance were Board Members Vicki Robinson, Dian Lawson
and Mary Jo Flood. Also attending were Assistant City Attorney Kim Vessels, Gerald South and
Police Chief Kris Wolski.
The following business was conducted:
CALL TO ORDER
Robinson called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board members and legal
counsel were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the minutes for the September 30, 2010
meeting. Flood moved to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously
passed.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the claims for payment for October 8, 2010 in
the amount of $93,135.93. She explained of that total $18,010.00 was paid to Northgate Cars for
a non patrol vehicle. Lawson moved to approve with a second by Flood. The motion was
unanimously passed.
CHANGE ORDER
A. Robinson brought to the board a request that was presented by Gerald South from
Engineering for the approval of Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 120 -2010 with
America's Decorative Concrete, LLC for the curb ramp project — phase II Flood
moved to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously passed.
BID AWARD
A. Robinson brought the board a bid award that was presented by Police Chief Kris
Wolski to award the bid for the 2010 Dodge Journey for the Police Department to

Wetzel Family Ford in the amount of $19,728.00. Lawson moved to approve with a
second by Flood. The motion was unanimously passed.
BOW MEETING CHANGES FOR THE REST OF 2010
Robinson made an announcement for meeting changes for the rest of 2010. Those changes are
as follows:
1) November 11, 2010 meeting will be changed to Wednesday, November 10,
2010
2) November 25, 2010 meeting will be changed to Wednesday, November 24,
2010
3) There will be no BOW meeting the week of December 20, 2010
4) The last BOW meeting for 2010 will be held on Thursday, December 30,
2010
GRIEVANCE
A. Robinson told the board that the grievance that was placed on the agenda was placed
there in error.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned.
