APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal services with regard to ABC
related matterSj and
WHEREAS) the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC, possesses the requisite experience and expertise
to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Law finn of Slavin & Morse, LLC, has submitted a proposal to provide said
services at a maximum cost not to exceed $3,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or: will be available for said
purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Cartetet that the law firm of Slavin & MOIse, LLC be appointed as special counsel to address ABC
license related matters at a ma..amum cost not to exceed $3,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL YED, that this action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.].S.A. 40A:l1-S(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and
Open Process as authorized by law.

And the Borough of Cm.teret a municipal Corporation having its Principal Office at the
Borough Hall, 61 Cooke Avenue, Calieret, New Jersey.
As per Resolution Number 10-170.
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following:
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT ABC RELATED MATTERS.
NOT TO EXCEED $3,000.00
According to the terms set fOlih in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in the
Resolution.
