Cindy Bingham, Donna Kalinick 1 . Approved minutes of May meeting with one edit, that the meeting was adjourned at 7 : 50 ( not 6 : 50) . 2 . At the first meeting of the new fiscal year in July, we will have a vote for Chair and Secretary/Clerk. Steve Seaver will be voted on for the Chair position and Lisa Forhan for the Secretary/Clerk position . 3 . Donna Kalinick, Assistant Town Administrator, discussed Housing Coordinator position — interview team is Sue and Ryan, and the field is narrowed to two people whom Paul R . will interview . 4 . Other matters at hand regarding affordable housing in Brewster. a . Ryan is working out buy down applications b . Existing units — person who wants to sell contacts HAC as the monitoring agent, failed septic systems are difficult to manage and there was recently another one, and experiencing issues when an affordable homeowner passes away and the home is owned by the estate . c . Cynthia asked , ' How can the town help the process ?' I . Entities that address affordable housing issues : Board of Selectmen, CPC, BHP and Housing Coordinator will all play a role . ii . Program that address affordable housing issues : 1 . buydown 2o rehab program fell apart, need to get it up and running again , 3 . follow Ptown and Yarmouth' s lead with a Housing Trust . The problem was getting the monitoring agent . CDP uses block grants . iii . Resources that would help : 1 . Clear knowledge of how many units we currently have 2 . Access to forms online 3 . Utilizing the Housing Production Plan iv. Challenges on the horizon : 1 . In 2020 all Kings Landing can go market rate . All 40b expire after 40 years . 2 . Huckleberry — 2 units vacant needing repair, and 2 more will soon be vacant 5 . Town of Brewster Visioning update : Donna reported that about 50 people attended and there will be 2 more Ipart 1' sessions to go . 6 . Local and regional updates : One Cape Interim Housing assessment happening soon which will make a supply forecast and a demand forecast 10 years out . Vanessa will report . 7 . Sarah brought up an issue in the community regarding when 40b is approved but the developer does not perform on time as is happening at Brewster Landing . We will discuss this further in our next meeting. & Our next meeting will be 7/19 and we will not have a meeting in August . Meeting adjourned at 6 : 55 Respectfully submitted, Diane Pansire
