SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
MAY 30, 2017
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tem Man called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. in the
Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember — Chavez, Fish, Yu (arrived at 6:45 p.m.), Man
ABSENT: Councilmember — Sternquist
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Murphy, City Clerk Kuo, and
Deputy City Clerk Nunez
Councilmember Chavez made a motion to excuse Mayor Sternquist for cause.
Seconded by Councilmember Fish.

City Council recessed to closed session at 6:40 p.m. and reconvened at 6:59 p.m.
with all members present.
City Manager Cook reported that City Council met in Closed Session and
received a briefing. City Council directed staff to draft two resolutions pertaining
to amendment to the salary range for unrepresented part-time employees and
unrepresented confidential and at -will employees for City Council consideration
at the next regular meeting. There is no other reportable action.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council Special Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
