JUNE 25, 2015
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, June
25, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana.
President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted:
ROLL CALL
Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Dick Foore. Absent was Tony Foster.
Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Carter
Heaston; Elijah Welch, Richmond Sanitary District Engineer; Greg Stiens, City Engineer; Mike Lawson,
President of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1474; and, Media.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Foore moved to approve the minutes, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion
carried.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Mr. Foore moved to approve the June 19, 2015 Claims for Payment in the amount of Seven Hundred Thirty
Seven Three Hundred Seventeen and ten cents ($737,317.10), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote
viva voce, the motion carried.
Mr. Foore moved to approve the June 26, 2015 Claims for Payment in the amount of Seven Hundred Eighty
One Three Hundred Fifty Two and thirty nine cents ($781,352.39), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a
vote viva voce, the motion carried.
REQUESTS
• STREET CLOSURES — Sewer Separation Project
Main Street - NW 6th - SW 4th
First two weeks of July
NW 5th Street — Pearl — Main Street
1 day — depends on weather — It was determined that this wasn't needed at this time.
Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion
carried.

BID AWARDS - None
CONTRACTS
CONTRACT NO. 78 -2015 — AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION LOCAL 1474
Union contract for Rose View Transit
Mr. Foore moved to table, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
