Mayor Sternquist called the Special Meeting to order at 7:02 a.m. 2. ROLLCALL PRESENT: ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS Councilmember-Chavez, Fish, Man, Sternquist Councilmember-Yu City Manager Cook and Public Safety Supervisor Ariizumi Captain Flores, Sergeant Miranda, Deputy Adams, Deputy Lam, and Deputy Payne Councilmember Fish made a motion to excuse Councilmember Yu for cause. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Man. Jerry Jambazian, Temple City resident, informed the Council and public that he posted a public services announcement on his webpage regarding yielding to emergency vehicles. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS -None 5. NEW BUSINESS A. OVERVIEW OF FRAUD AND CYBER CRIMES BUREAU Sergeant Peter Hish was unavailable to give the presentation. 6. COMMUNICATIONS A. QUALITY OF LIFE Deputy Adams provided a brief overview of the number of sex offender registrants, parolees, and probationers in the City. B. OPERATIONS Deputy Adams provided an update regarding arrests and operations in the City. C. CRIME TRENDS City Council Special Meeting Minutes June 28, 2017 Page 2 of 2 Deputy Adams provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities affecting Temple City. D. NOTABLE ARRESTS Deputy Adams provided an overview of notable arrests made in the City. E. TRAFFIC ISSUES Deputy Adams provided an overview of traffic issues in the City. F. CRIME AND TRAFFIC STATISTICS Deputy Adams provided an overview of the crime and traffic statistics. G. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ACTIVITIES Deputy Adams provided an update on the special assignment team activities. H. PUBLIC OUTREACH I EVENTS Deputy Adams reported on the public outreach conducted by the special assignment team. I. UPCOMING EVENTS FOR JULY 2017 Deputy Adams announced upcoming meetings and events that will be conducted in the City. 7.
