HomeMy Public PortalAbout2007-053 Resolution Authorizing Publication of Ord 430Member Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2007-53 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 430 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 430, an ordinance amending city code sections 826.09, 826.15, 826.26, 826.26.1, 826.26.3, and 826.33, correcting certain erroneous section references; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 430 is five pages in length; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 430 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 430. The ordinance amends a number of subsections within City Code Section 826. These changes correct erroneous section references so that information is easier to find within the code. A copy of the complete ordinance is available from the city administrator -clerk at Medina city hall. Chad M. Adams, City Administrator -Clerk BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public inspection and that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
