Florida, was held on the 2nd day of March, A.D. 1938.
Commissioners Wallace and Bauer were present.
The Commissioners approved the following payments:
B.D. Cole, Inc. $10.04 premium for Bond for E.W. Cooper as
Deputy Sheriff for year ending March
5, 1939.
Aaron T. Smock 7.50 three signs erected in Town "Danger
Slow Down ".
Delray Lumber Co. 3.00 one gallon Traffic Zone paint, for use
on road signs "Slow ".
Wm. J. Bauer 50.61 salary as Town Clerk for year ending
March 1938, $50.00; Postage .61.
Due to the fact that servants of Residents of the Town had been
threatened, molested and pursued and that cars and people were
trespassing on private property at night, the Commissioners
approved the engaging of E.W. Cooper to act as night watchman
from February 14th until further notice, at a salary of ,"3.00 per
night. The Gulf Stream Golf Club to furnish his gasoline, which
the Town will refund upon presentation of bill from the Gulf Stream
Golf Club. The Commissioners at this meeting approved the payment
of 9'54.00 being the salary due E.W. Cooper for the period February
14th to March 3rd, incl.
The Commissioners also approved the payment of 05.55 due to the Gulf
Stream Golf Club for gasoline furnished the nig=ht watchman for the
period February 14th to 28th incl.
The State Dep<.rtment having furnished men to cut down the underbrush
adjoining the Boulevard throughout the Town AND having left their
cuttings there, the Town Commissioners deemed it a fire hazard AND
engaged C.R. Smith to furnish men and truck to clear up and cart away
such debris as was left lying about. C.R. Smith to render bill upon
completion of this work.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
