HomeMy Public PortalAbout2007-066 Resolution Authorizing Publication of Ord 433Member Weir introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2007-66 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 433 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 433, an ordinance amending city code section 825.98, subdivision 2(d) regarding regulations for cemeteries as a conditional use within residential zoning districts; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 433 is three pages in length; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 433 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 433. The ordinance amends regulations related to cemeteries as a conditional use within residential zoning districts. The ordinance established a maximum lot size of 10 acres and setback requirements for burial sites. The ordinance also changed the maximum mausoleum height to 15 feet. A copy of the complete ordinance is available from the city administrator -clerk at Medina city hall. Chad M. Adams, City Administrator -Clerk BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public inspection and that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
