A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Strea.,,
Florida, was held on the 8th day of March 1939, at 10.30 a.m.
Commissioners, Wallace, Adam & Bauer were present.
The inutes of the previous meeting held on February 8th, were read
and approved.
The Commissioners approved the payment of the following bills:
B.D.Cole Inc. Bond Fee on E.W.Cooper as Deputy Sheriff. 10.00
IDity of Delray Beach - Answering Fire Call 12.00
B.D.Cole Inc. - 25/50000 Public Liability
5/000 Property Damage Insurance from
December 9th to May 8,1939 on Automobile
used by Frank W. Stanley, Patrolman. 28.86
71m.S.Bauer Town Clerk Salary for year $50.00- Pmstage 1.50
After discussion, the Town Commissioners voted to increase the Tax
Millage of the Town, for this current year, from 2 mills to 10 mills.
This was done in order to be able to defray the expenses of engaging
a Policeman for next Winter Season and to be able to take care of
any other unexpected expense that might arise.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
