AN ORDINANCE VACATING NELSON AVENUE AND CHASTAIN STREET IN
THE URANIUM VILLAGE SUBDIVISION IN MOAB, UTAH:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Moab, Utah:
Section I.
That the full width of Nelson Avenue between Main street
on the West and Chastain Street on the East, and the full width of
Chastain Street between Uranium Avenue on the South and Grand
Avenue on the North, as said Nelson Avenue and said Chastain
Street appear on the official plat of Uranium Village Subdivision,
Plat A, filed in the Recorder's Office of Grand County, Utah, on
April 21, 1955, as Entry No. 260865, and recorded in Book of Plats
at pages 27-28, be, and the same are, vacated and declared no long-
er to be public property for use as streets, avenues, alleys, or pedestrian
ways.
The real property adjoining and abutting said Nelson Avenue
and said Chastain Street so vacated is situate in Grand County,
State of Utah, and particularly described as follows:
Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of Block II; Lots 1, 5, 6,
7, 8, and 9 of Block III; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
9 and 10 of Block IV, Uranium Village Subdivision
Plat A, according to the official plat thereof, on file
in the Recorder's Office of said County.
Section 2.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of
way and easements of all public utilities of any and every kind and des-
cription, now located in, on, under, or over the confines of the said
Nelson Avenue and said Chastain Street so vacated; and also subject to
the right of entry thereon for the purpose of inspecting, maintaining,
repairing, replacing, removing, altering, or re --routing said utilities
and all of them.
Section 3.
In the opinion of the City Council it is necessary to the peace, health
and safety of the inhabitants of Moab City, that this Ordinance shall become
effective immediately.
Passed by the City Council of Mcab, Utah, this 1st day of May, 1962.
