THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. ;l ~ 7'"
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSI-
FICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, application was made for a zone change for property located
within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, as described herein.
WHEREAS, notice of a October 14, 1996 Bel Aire Planning Commission
public hearing on said application was published in the official city newspaper on
September 12, 1996 and mailed on September 19, 1996 to all owners of record of
lands, within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, located within 200 feet of the
proposed zoning change and, outside the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire,
located within 1000 feet of the proposed zoning change.
WHEREAS, the Bel Aire Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on
said application on October 14, 1996 and thereafter, based upon the public hearing
and a discussion of the factors to consider in rezoning, voted to approve said zone
change.
WHEREAS, more than 14 days has elapsed since said public hearing and no
protest petition has been filed with the Bel Aire City Clerk.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas hereby finds
and determines that said zone change should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF
THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
Section 1. Zone Chanae
The official zoning classification of Lots 1-7, Block 1 of the Willow Creek
Addition to Bel Aire, Sedgwick County, Kansas is hereby changed from the zoning
classification of "B-1" General Commercial to the zoning classification of "R-2"
Single-Family Residential.
The official zoning classification of Lots 1-4, Block 2 of the Willow Creek
Addition to Bel Aire, Sedgwick County, Kansas is hereby changed from the zoning
classification of "B-1" General Commercial to the zoning classification of "R-3" Two-
Family Residential.
The official zoning classification of Lots 5,6,7, Block 2 of the Willow Creek
Addition to Bel Aire, Sedgwick County, Kansas is hereby changed from the zoning
classification of "B-1" General Commercial to the zoning classification of "R-2"
Single-Family Residential.
Section 2. Zonina Map Amendment
The official zoning map of the city of Bel Aire, Kansas is hereby amended in
accordance with Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication
in the official city newspaper.
