Council met in regular session, Mayor Vahlsing presiding an(-', the
following±mg councilmen present, H B Hook- D.D.Huisman-
J E Riekena- J T Riekena- 'Jerry Spieker.
Minutes of all April meetings were read and on motion by
HtJmman second by Spieker approved as read. carried.
It was moved by Hook second by J T Riekena, that bids for
Road gravel be opened. carried.
Bids were read as follows -
Mayo Tjaden- $1.18 per ton delivered. on streets
" alternate bid on crushed Rock 91.50 per T.
Conrad Weichers - 91.19 per Ton delivered on streets
Gene Blythe- $1.25 per ton delivered on streets.
It was moved and seconded that Mayo Tjaden be given the
contract. motion carried.
The Bonds of the Mayor, Clerk, and Marshall were approved.
It was moved and seconded that a cigarette permit be issued
to the B& L Cafe.

Nays - none -
Moved by John T Riekena second by J E Riekena.that cigarette
Bond be approved- carried.
The Wellsburg Fire Company submitted their new by-laws
and submitted a member list for approval.
On motion, by Laws were accepted, and membership list
approved.
Moved by Huisman second by J E Riekena that Fire•er be
allowed $2.50 each for all members remaining.in Town on
Legal Holidays. motion carried.
The Clerk was directed to order 2 Lanterns,
First Aid Kit for the Fire Company. carried.
The following bills were read and. on motion
