A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf
Stream, Florida, was held on the 6th day of December,1939 at
10.30 a.m.
Commissioners Wallace and Bauer were present.
The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
The Commissioners approved the apaointment of E.W.Cooper as
Town Policeman who started on November 15th.
It was called to the attention of the Town Commission that the
taxes for the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, for thelyear 1939,
were now due. Tax Assessor Bauer presented to the Commission the
1939 tax roll for its consideration. The Tax Roll was carefully
examined and approved. A motion wa made, seconded and passed a
accepting the Roll as presented as being the 1939 Tax xoll of the
Town of Gulf Strea.:, ilorida.
Town Clerk Bauer was instructed to prepare in compliance Section
7, Article 8, of the Charter Act of the Town of Gulf Stream,Florida,
a suitable notice and ppst same at the Door of the Town Hall,stating
that the Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream,Florida, would sit
as a Board of Equilizers from December 10th to 20th to hear any
complaints regarding taxes or assessments as shown in the 1939 tax
roll.
The Commissioners a proved the payment of the following bills:
E.W.Cooper cleaning boulevard of pine needles etc. 128.00

rirestone Service Stores Battery for Police car 13.05
The Atlantic Laundry Cleaning Police Uniform 3.30'
B.D.Cole Inc. Insurance on PoliceCar protecting Town 28.86
Gulf Stream Golf Club Gasoline for Police Car 12.92
The purchaLe of a new coat for Town Policeman amounting to 27.65
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
