CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2007-77
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR HAMEL ROAD
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON
CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to previous authorization by the city council, a report has been
prepared by Bonestroo with reference to the reconstruction of Hamel Road and associated utility
improvements between Brockton Lane and Hunter Drive and this report was received by the city
council on December 18, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed
improvement project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The feasibility report is hereby accepted. The city council will consider making such
improvement in accordance with the report and the assessment of benefited property
for all or a portion of the improvement pursuant to Minn. Stat., Chapter 429. The
estimated total improvement cost is $2,947,090.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on January 15, 2008 in
the council chambers at Medina city hall starting at 7:00 p.m. and the city
administrator -clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvement as required by law.
3. Bonestroo is hereby designated as the city's consulting engineer for this improvement
and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for the
making of such improvement

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Smith and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Smith, Weir, Johnson
and the following voted against same: (Recused: Cavanaugh)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
