SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JULY 26, 2017
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tem Man called the Special Meeting to order at 7:01 a.m.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember —Chavez, Fish, Man
ABSENT: Councilmember — Yu, Sternquist
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, Senior Community Preservation Officer
Tran, Community Development Director Forbes and Public
Safety Supervisor Ariizumi
Captain Flores, Sergeant Miranda, Deputy Lam, Deputy
Zuniga, Deputy Payne, Deputy Holverson and Deputy Baker
Councilmember Chavez made a motion to excuse Mayor
Sternquist and Councilmember Yu for cause. Seconded by
Councilmember Fish.
' 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Jerry Jambazian, Temple City resident, asked the City to remind residents on Social
Media to refrain from posting photos online while on vacation.

5. NEW BUSINESS
A. OVERVIEW OF LASD COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING SERVICES (COPS)
BUREAU — HOMELESS SERVICES TEAM
Deputy Liz Aguilar was unavailable to give the presentation.
6. COMMUNICATIONS
A. QUALITY OF LIFE
Deputy Zuniga provided a brief overview of the number of sex offender
registrants, parolees, and probationers in the City.
B. OPERATIONS

Deputy Zuniga provided an update on the special assignment team activities.

Deputy Zuniga reported on the public outreach conducted by the special
assignment team.

Deputy Zuniga announced upcoming meetings and events that will be
conducted in the City.
