A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS AND
ELECTRONIC WASTE COLLECTION SITING LIABILITY AGREEMENT (SLA)
BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles conducts weekly Hazardous Waste and
Electronic Waste Round up events in various jurisdictions in the County; and
WHEREAS, this service is of regional and local benefit to residents of the
County; and
WHEREAS, the next Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste
Roundup event is scheduled for April 2, 2011 and will be held in Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the Siting Liability Agreement must be executed befinreen the City
and the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Household
Hazardous and Electronic Waste Collection Siting Liability Agreement between the City
of Lynwood and the County of Los Angeles .
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4 day of January, 2011.
