CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2008-03
RESOLUTION ORDERING HAMEL ROAD
RECONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, a resolution of the city council adopted on December 18, 2007, fixed a date
for the council hearing on the proposed reconstruction of Hamel Road from Brockton Lane to
Hunter Drive, replacement of sanitary sewer and water main under the road, undergrounding of
electric power lines and construction of streetscape improvements; and
WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was
given and the hearing was held on January 15, 2008, at which hearing all persons desiring to be
heard were given an opportunity to have heard thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota
as follows:
1. The above -described improvement is necessary, cost effective and feasible as
detailed in the feasibility report.
2. The improvement is hereby ordered as proposed.
3. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates is hereby designated as the engineer for
this improvement. The engineer shall continue to prepare plans and specifications
for the making of the improvement.
4. The city council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the costs of the
improvement project from the proceeds of tax exempt bonds.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Smith and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Smith, Weir, Johnson, Cavanaugh
and the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
