CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2008-04
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF 2008 GRANT APPLICATION
FOR RECYCLING AND EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 115A.552, counties shall ensure that residents
have an opportunity to recycle; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County Ordinance 13 requires that each City implement and maintain
a recycling program to enable the County to meet its recycling goals; and
WHEREAS, the City of Medina offers a coordinated recycling program for their residents,
WHEREAS, the City of Medina wished to receive funds available through Hennepin County
for recycling activities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Medina to authorize
the submittal of the 2008 grant application and further authorize the Mayor and City Administrator
to execute such agreement with the County.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Weir and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Smith, Weir, Johnson
and the following voted against same: (Absent: Cavanaugh)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
