CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 2008-09
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A
PREMISES PERMIT TO THE HAMEL VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENT TO CONDUCT LAWFUL GAMBLING
WHEREAS, the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department ("Applicant") has made application
to the City of Medina for a "Premises Permit Renewal" to conduct charitable gambling activities
under authority and regulation of Minnesota Statute 349.16; and
WHEREAS, said premises permit will be for charitable gambling activities to be
conducted at Inn Kahoots located at 45 Hamel Road within the city; and
WHEREAS, Applicant understands that this license prohibits conducting charitable
gambling activities at any other location not stated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Medina, Minnesota
that the Applicant's request for the Premises Permit Renewal be granted, effective June 1, 2008
through May 31, 2009.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Crosby, Smith, Weir, Johnson
and the following voted against same: (Absent: Cavanaugh)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

2. The city council also hereby ratifies all previous actions of city staff regarding the
completeness of applications or extending the review period as set forth in Minn. Stat., Sec. 15.99.
