A regular meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream,
lorida, was held on the 7th day of January 1942, at 10.00 a.m, at the
esidence of the Mayor.
Commissioners Wallace, Edwards and Bauer were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
The Commissioners approved the payment of the following bills:
Flamingo Service Station repairs to Patrolman Coopers car 18.70
Firestone Service Stores 2 " " Hobans motorcycle 32.14
Advo Studios signs for Town 28.00
B.D.Cole Insurance P.L. Sc P.D. on Police Car and Yotorcycle
also Workmen Compensation 90.72
C.Y.Byrd, Attorney, preparing new Town Charter 125.00
It Zoning Ordinance 75.00

ight Company and the Southern Bell Telephone Company had requested franchises
nd that the necessary papers would be presented at the next meeting.
here was some discussion on a new amended charter and zoning ordinace, which
as tabled for another meeting.

ice Mayor Edwards xxd was appointed head air raid warden for the Town for
blackout to be held on Sunday evening, January 11th, explained the plan
nd requested assistance from the Town. The Commissioners offered the services
f the Police and agreed to help in any manner they could. T
he resignation of W.R.Hoban, day policeman was aceepted as of January p.m.
n compliance with request of Mr. Leon Henderson, Price Administrator to
onserve paper, Mayor Wallace had printed a copy of notice received from
r. Henderson mailed to each and every resident of the Town.
,?on reading in the paper that the Railroad Commission had given permitsion
o the Florida Motor Lines to use the Ocean Boulevard, Mayor Wallace sent

here being no further business the meeting adjourned.
