HomeMy Public PortalAbout2008-016 Resolution Approving Construction Plans of Trail Along CSAH 19Member Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2008-16 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION PLANS OF A TRAIL ALONG COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY (CSAH) 19 FROM PARK MAINTENANCE ENTRANCE SOUTH OF CSAH 24 TO MAPLE STREET IN THE CITY OF MEDINA WHEREAS, the City of Medina approved the Preliminary Trail Layouts for the construction of a multi -use pedestrian -bicycle trail along the east side of CSAH 19 on November 8, 2006 (Resolution No. 2006-83). WHEREAS, Hennepin County Transportation Department has prepared the final construction plans for a multi -use pedestrian -bicycle trail along the east side of CSAH 19 from the park maintenance entrance south of CSAH 24 to Maple Street within Medina; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has included a trail connection to the south property line in Baker Park to accommodate a future City neighborhood connection to properties in the Independence Beach area; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has requested City approval of the final construction plan for the multi -use pedestrian -bicycle trail along the east side of CSAH 19. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina as follows: 1) The City approves the final construction plans for a multi -use pedestrian -bicycle trail along the east side of CSAH 19 from the park maintenance entrance south of CSAH 24 to Maple Street within Medina. 2) The City approves the final construction plans for a trail connection to the south property line in Baker Park to accommodate a future City neighborhood connection to properties in the Independence Beach area. 3) Authorization to the City Administrator to execute the final construction plans.
