THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
JANUARY 3, 2012
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in special session January 3, 2012 in the
Council Chambers in said City. Vice President Quinn presided.
ROLL CALL:
Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse - Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Lary Parker,
Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn.
Also in attendance were Walt Chidester, City Attomey; Sally Hutton, Mayor; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk;
Tony Foster, Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development; Jeff Plasterer and Gary Saunders,
Wayne County Council.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Mr. Quinn opened the floor for nominations for the offices of President and Vice President of the
Richmond Common Council.
Mr. Parker nominated Mr. Quinn to serve as President, supported by Mr. Miller. Mr. Wissel moved to
close the nominations, supported by Mr. Parker. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Upon a
vote viva voce, Mr. Quinn was elected President for 2012.
Mr. Wissel nominated Mr. Miller to serve as Vice President, supported by Ms. Hollis. Mr. Wissel moved to
close the nominations, supported by Mr. Parker. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. Upon a
vote viva voce, Mr. Wissel was elected Vice President for 2012.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meeting was a ' umed.
