Call to Order - The Veterans Affairs Council Meeting for November 22, 2010 was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Charles Wood. II. Invocation — No invocation. III. Pledge of Allegiance — No Pledge of Allegiance. IV. Roll Call — Present Absent Charles Wood, Chairperson Julio Mendoza, Board Member Louis Ford. Board Member V. Agenda Posting - The Agenda was duly posted by the City Clerk for the November 2010 meeting. VI. Approval of Minutes — The October 2010 minutes were not approved due to a lack of a quorum. VII. Scheduled Matters — Review of Veterans Day Program — 11/4/10 The members discussed various aspects of this year's program including attendance and participation at the event. The program included the usual wreath ceremony, taps and 21-gun salute. They were quite pleased with the outcome of the program, particulariy the unveiling of a bronze statue depicting young children holding the American flag. Congresswoman Linda Sanchez's office presented the Veterans Affairs Council with an American flag that has flown over the Nation's capital. j VIII. Public Orals - None IX.
