BEAUMONT PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 4, 1994
Meeting called to Order at 7:02 p.m.
Roll Call: Commissoners Barker, DePalatis, Kirkland and Moreno.
Chairman Prouty was absent and excused.
Affidavit of Posting was read.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was observed.
1. Approval of Minutes: A motion was offered by Commissioner
Kirkland, seconded by Commissioner Moreno to approve the
Minutes for the meeting of September 6, 1994. Motion carried
with 4 ayes.
2. Oral Communication: None.
3. Director's Report: Planning Director Ernie Egger informed the
Commission that the General Plan revision that was considered
by the Planning Commission a couple of meetings ago and was
subsequently forwarded to the City Council relative to the
clean -up of the Land Use Map and the Housing Element was heard
by the City Council at its meeting last week. There were
questions pertaining to the amount of multi - family land that
exists in the City and Council subsequently dispatched the
matter to its Land Use Committee which in turn had some minor
modifications. These modifications will be brought back to
the City Council at its meeting next week. Some of the multi-
family will probably be eliminated in favor of traditional
single family residential.
SCHEDULED MATTERS:
4. 87 -TM -8, Tract 23161, request for five one -year extensions of
time for a 201 lot single family subdivision, located an the
north side of 14th Street, at Palm Avenue, with frontage on
Cherry Avenue. This item was continued from the meeting of
September 6, 1994. Applicant, FN Development.
Planning Director Egger presented the staff report, a copy of
said report is on file in the Planning Department.
A motion was offered by Commissioner Moreno, seconded by
Commissioner Kirkland recommending approval by City Council of
five one -year extensions of time for Tentative Tract No. 23161
retroactive from May 23, 1990 to May 23, 1995. Motion carried
with the following roll call vote:
AYES: Commissioners Barker, Kirkland, Moreno and Acting
Chairman DePalatis.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: Chairman Prouty.
