BEAUMONT PLANNING COMMISSION
FOR JANUARY 2, 1996
The meeting was called to Order at 6:05 p.m.
Those present were: Vice Chairman DePalatis, Commissioners Salinas and Frisch.
Commissioner Moreno was absent and not excused.
Affidavit of Posting was read and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was observed.
1. ORAL COMMUNICATION: None.
2. DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Economic Development Director Dave Dillon referred the
director's report to the next meeting since Mr. Egger was not at this meeting.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
3. Considered at this time was Plot Plan 95 -PP -4 and Negative Declaration 95 -ND -8, a
proposal to develop a Pennzoil Lube and Tune Auto Service Facility at 999 East Sixth
Street. Economic Development Director Dillon presented the staff report, a copy of
which is on file in the Planning Department.
Vice Chairman DePalatis opened the public hearing at 6 :09 p.m., asking for
proponents /opponents from the audience wishing to speak. There being none, he closed
the public hearing at 6:10 p.m.
In response to a question concerning the alley, Economic Development Director Dillon
informed the Commission that paving would only be for that portion of the alley which
would abut the project and curbing would be added along Michigan. Mr. Dillon also
noted that Condition No. 6.3 was a special condition and that they must submit a
structural report for the existing market.
A motion was offered by Commissioner Salinas, seconded by Commissioner Frisch, to
adopt Negative Declaration 95 -ND -8 and approve Plot Plan 95 -PP -4, subject to the
attached conditions of approval.
AYES: Vice Chairman DePalatis, Commissioners Salinas and Frisch.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Commissioner Moreno.
ABSTAIN: None.
There being no further items before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 6:15
p.m.
