Beaumont Planning Commission
June 2, 1998
Call to Order: 6:04 p.m. Place: Beaumont Council Chambers
Roll Call: Chairman Salinas, Commissioner DeForge, Commissioner Dressel, Commissioner
Davis, Commissioner Frisch.
Affidavit of Posting.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Economic Development Director Dave Dillon gave the Director's Report. He updated the
commission on various projects including the Omni Engineering Expansion, Dura Plastics
Expansion, the Oak Valley Annexation, the Omega Homes project, etc.
2. Oral Communications: None
3. Scheduled Matters:
a. Minor Variance No. 98- MV -01, Sign Permit No. 98- SNP -04, Proposed Free -
Standing Sign at 557 East Sixth Street. Applicant: Deborah Branford.
Staff report was presented by Economic Development Director Dave Dillon, a copy of which is
on file in the City Clerk's office.
The applicant, Mr. Branford, spoke in favor of the application.
Motion by Commissioner DeForge, Seconded by Commissioner Frisch to approve Minor
Variance No. 98- MV -01, Sign Permit No. 98- SNP -04. Motion carried 5/0.
b. Plot Plan No. 98 -PP -01 and Negative Declaration No. 98- ND -04, Proposed
Rancho Ready Mix concrete batch plant on the south side of Fourth Street,
west of Viele Avenue. Applicant: Rancho Ready Mix.
Staff report was presented by Economic Development Director Dave Dillon, a copy of which is
on file in the City Clerk's office.
Chairman Salinas opened the Public Hearing at 6:35 p.m.
Bob Roberts, 555 Cajon Street, Redlands, representing Rancho Ready Mix, spoke in favor of the
project.
Chairman Salinas closed the Public Hearing at 6:56 p.m.
Motion by Commissioner Frisch, Seconded by Commissioner DeForge to approve Plot Plan 98-
PP -01 and Negative Declaration No 98- ND -04. Motion carried 5/0.
Meeting adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
