RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF C PL CITY
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA C'DEPT.
SELECTING A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
AND APPROVING A PRELIMINARY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
FOR THE BEAUMONT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
California, (the "City Council ") has, by duly adopted resolution,
designated a survey area for redevelopment study purposes which
includes proposed territory to be included within the redevelopment
project area for the Beaumont Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Beaumont
(the "Agency ") has, by duly adopted resolution, requested the
Planning Commission of the City of Beaumont, California (the
"Planning Commission ") to designate a redevelopment project area to
be included in a new redevelopment plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Planning Commission deem
it necessary and appropriate to establish a new redevelopment
project to be designated the "Beaumont Redevelopment Project"
(the "Project ") and, for this purpose, the Planning Commission has
caused the preparation of a Preliminary Plan pursuant to Health and
Safety Code Section 33324; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has further considered
and hereby selects the proposed boundaries of the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission hereby selects as
a redevelopment project area for the Beaumont Redevelopment Project
within the survey area referred to in the recitals hereof, that
certain redevelopment project area (the "Project Area ") as shown on
the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", and incorporated herein by
reference.
Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby approves
the Preliminary Plan for the Beaumont Redevelopment Project
attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and incorporated herein by
reference.
Section 3. The Secretary to the Planning Commission
is hereby authorized and directed to transmit to the Agency a copy
of this Resolution, including all Exhibits attached hereto.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
MOVED, PASSED, and ADOPTED this 27th day of July ,
1993 by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Echlin, DePalatis, Kirkland and Chairman
Prouty.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: Commissioner Moreno.
