RESOLUTION NO. PC -84 -1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL AN
AMENDMENT OF TITLE 17 OF THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAI,
CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY PROVIDING NEW LAND USE PLANN-
ING AND ZONING REGULATIONS, AFFIXING NEW ZONING
DESIGNATIONS TO ALL PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT AND ADOPTION OF OFFICAL ZONING. MAP RE-
FLECTING SAME.
WHEREAS, the existing Title 17 (Zoning) provisions are
not fully consistent with the City of Beaumont General Plan and
its elements, and
WHEREAS, consistency between the adopted General Plan and
any implementing zoning ordinance is required by California State
Law, and
WHEREAS, Public Hearings have been held by the City of
Beaumont Planning Commission, in accordance with state law, on
the New Title 17 Zoning Ordinance and an environmental assessment
and Negative Declaration has been prepared, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the New Title
17 Land Use planning and zoning regulations are consistent with
the City of Beaumont General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Beaumont
Planning Commission recommends the City Council hold such Public
Hearings as required by law, approve the Negative Declaration and
New Title 17 (zoning) provisions and adopt an ordinance amending
Title 17 of the Beaumont Municipal Code in its entirety, providing
New Land Use Planning and Zoning regulations, affixing of proposed
New Zoning classifications to all properties within the City of
Beaumont and adoption of the New Official Zoning Map reflecting
such New Zoning classifications.
