HomeMy Public PortalAbout2008-063 Resolution Which Authorizes the City to Request a MN/DOT Coop, Agreement ProjectMember Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2008-63 RESOLUTION WHICH AUTHORIZES THE CITY OF MEDINA TO REQUEST A MN/DOT COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, The City of Medina is proposing improvements to the TH 55 and County State Aid Highway 115 / County Road 116 (Pinto Road) intersection, including the addition of a new signal system, construction of raised medians, TH 55 access modifications, and a backage road on the north side of TH 55; and WHEREAS, The City of Medina is requesting the financial participation of the Minnesota Department of Transportation through the Municipal Agreement Program; and WHEREAS, The City of Medina is committed to providing the local share of the costs if the project is selected for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2010 Municipal Agreement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Medina requests that the Minnesota Department of Transportation consider a proposal to replace the signal system and construct roadway improvements at the intersection of Trunk Highway 55 and County State Aid Highway 115 / County Road 116 (Pinto Road) in the 2009 Cooperative Agreement program.
